A vault door marks the entrance to the new Gallery of Numismatics hosting the National Numismatics collection. Visitors uncover links between American history and global histories of exchange, cultural interaction, political change, and innovation. Featuring more than 400 objects from the collection, including some of the rarest in the world. Custom designed 'jewel-like' cases that project from the ground and walls house the collection with state of the art security and lighting.
As the lead designer for the new acquisition cases in the exhibit, I was in charge of all rotating displays and graphics. I was also the museum liaison for construction of the exhibition and worked closely with the exhibition design firm to provided support for all production and construction inclusive of casework, lighting and graphic design.
