Office lobby redesign. Edmonton, Canada.
Senior Experiential and Architectural Designer.
The large architectural media volumes in the lobby were designed to transform the entries into dynamic experiences. The rectilinear volumes create dynamic inviting vantage points as they weave between the columns of the architecture. Hung high above the lobby floor, the media boxes immerse viewers with ever-changing visuals and work together as a single cohesive installation and provide distinct points of interest from different corners of the space. The captured worlds display environments from local iconic imaginary and generate abstract animations.
The digital experience is continued into the retail corridor that connects the building to a large shopping center. The media columns provide a unique canvas that invites the shopper to pause, relax that enhances the shopping experience.
We successfully met the goal to transform the entries into dynamic experiences and energize the lobby and retail corridor as well as increase neighborhood presence on both adjacent streets.
